In the evening hours of November 6, 2023, The Salvation Army Service Unit at 700 Union Street in Kissimmee, FL was intentionally and devastatingly vandalized and set on fire.

The damage to the facility and all of the resources used to serve the most vulnerable in Osceola County was extensive, with little to be salvaged.  We are very grateful that no one was harmed in this incident.

The Service Unit provides daily services to the unhoused and precariously housed in Osceola County - including hot meals, laundry and shower services, food pantry, utility, and rental assistance.  It is unclear at this time if and when the building will be operational again.

The Salvation Army is in full preparation for the busiest time of year, which includes the iconic Red Kettles which were damaged in the fire along with the kitchen, food pantry, and new industrial washer and dryer.

We are grateful for a community that walks alongside us in serving suffering humanity and your generosity will allow us to continue to do so even in this most difficult of times.
